San Francisco.

A DAY IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SF.
I had never been to San Francisco before and how amazingly suprised I was! This city is one of the most architecturally beautiful I've seen. With all the sweet little boutiques and restaurants, it's impossible not to see yourself living here.

My dream home!

Trip highlight : BOTTEGA LOUIE

BOTTEGA LOUIE. LOS ANGELES.

Wow. I can't even explain how great this restaurant is. Very bright, chic and classy, the food tastes fresh and the pastries are de-lightful. I do recommend it altough it may seem a little pricey at first, the experience was worth it. We went on a sunday morning, yes the restaurant was full but we didn't have to wait at all which was great!

A DAY AT THE BEACH.
It was a pretty long ride from our hotel but we finally made it to this incredible beach. It was surprisingly chilly that day but we still enjoyed the sun!

California.

Time goes by so quickly when you are enjoying yourself it is incredible. I already have one week left in Vancouver and the trip has really been amazing. As people say, all good things have to eventually come to an end but happily, it will also be the start of something new!

Since I am on the West Coast already, why not do a little detour to some of the nicest places in the world! Yes, I am talking about San Francisco, Los Angeles and Laguna Beach. I have to admit some real warm weather and a beautiful sun could do me good, right?

I can't wait to post pictures of both of my trips. The two of them being really different but as amazing I'm sure.

Planning the trip!
This is one of my favorite parts of travelling. I wouldn't say I'm an organized person but I really do like to plan and make lists. Something that my boyfriend and I really enjoy doing is going to the library and reading a bunch of travel guides. This way, you get a lot more that just one authors opinions and you can choose which activities interest you the most from a variety of different options. Just a couple of travel guides, a pen and paper and our trip is all organized!

Summer Wishlist.

Summer is my favorite season of all. Since I live in Canada and that winter can sometimes be pretty harsh, summer appears even more fun! For some reason, when I think about summer, all my happiest memories come to mind, from the family moments to the most romantic evening walks on the beach, the sun shinning bright to a good cocktail on the patio; everything seems so simple and fun. What's even more fun is to shop for summer clothes and accessories. Here is my wishlist!

These past few days I've seen so many girls wearing backpacks and it always looks good on them. This one is from asos and I think the pink flowers gives it a vintage and romantic look. I've had my eye on this one for a while but I might just get one in the color beige with the brown straps as well, just so it would look better with some outfits.

This lipstick is the perfect combination of pink and orange, giving this gorgeous coral color. I've been looking for a coral lipstick for so long and I think I've finally found what I was looking for. For me, wearing a bright color on my lips can sometimes be the perfect way to complete an oufit. This lipstick by MAC is called Vegas Volt.

In the summer time, less makeup is sometimes better. In my opinion, there is no need to pack on makeup if you are going to sweat it off during the day anyway. Instead, I think that a tinted moisturizer can still be a good coverage and of course a lot lighter than foundation. This one from Laura Mercier I heard a lot of good comments on it. It can seem a little bit pricey but I believe that little product goes a long way - we'll see!

I have read the first book of this trilogy (L.A. Candy) and I think it's a really fun book to read in the summer time. I was actually very impressed by this book since it was her very first. Great chick lit to read around the pool or the beach or wherever you like to read in your free time! I will definitely the other two books : Sweet Littles Lies & Sugar and Spice.

It is all for now, hope you enjoyed :)
See you in my next post.

Fashion Trends: Summer 2011.

At the store that I'm working in right now, dressing in trends is mandatory. I will basically go through my inspirations of the moment. So here are the three trends they offer :

Globar Bazaar
Harem pants - Earthy tones - Natural materials - Messenger bags - Textures - Bangles - Blazers - Prints

Chiffon Top - Urban Outfitters - 39$
I'm loving that top. This incorporates greatly the tribal trend and the shape of it makes it look casual which is great for a summer outfit. You can't really see on this picture but it has this really beautiful see-through back.

Aldo - 90$
These wedges define what this trend is all about- nature, earthy tones... I think they look awesome altough I'm not sure I would have the guts to wear them!

I really like how she mixed black with beige, white and brown. I also really adore the print of her harem pants.

Summer Romance
Lace and crochet - Pastels - Floral print - Blazers - Maxi dresses - Light materials  - Oxford shoes

Floral Maxi Dress - Urban Outfitters - 79$

Crochet Skirt - Urban Outfitters - 69$

Peach Cutout Heels - Aldo - 135$
This particular pair of heels would actually fit in other trends as well whether you want to incorporate your shoes into your color-blocked outfit or simply by the look of the cutouts.

This outfit is just so adorable, summery and romantic at the same time. I love the pop of color from the blazer and the mix with the polka dots.

Future Perfect
Bulky accessories - Color blocking - Geometric shapes - Minimal - Primary colors - Black and white - Bright lipstick - Funky wedges

Suede T-Strap Platform - Aldo - 100$
For some reason my eye was immediately attracted to this gorgeous pair of heels. The mix of orange with this taupe color is to die for! Classy but trendy at the same time, what more could you ask for.

Red Layered Skirt - Urban Outfitters - 59$
I am in love with the color of this skirt, enough said.

Chunky Silver Necklace - Aldo Accessories - 20$

This oufit really inspires me because the colors she mixed together are not only brights. I absolutely adore that light pink blazer with that pink skirt, all the colors are in perfect harmony with each other.

Thanks for taking the time to read my article!
See you in my next post.
